Pilates & TRX


We follow the tradational order in our Pilates mat exercise sessions.  Joseph Pilates created his "Art of Contrology".  Pilates, named for its master, is a system of exercises that seeks to develop core strength and stability and spinal health by integrating mat work with various pieces of apparatus designed with spring resistance. Guided by six fundamental principles – breath, concentration, control, centering, flow, and precision. 

What can I expect from doing a mat-pilates class?

A longer, leaner body without the bulk; a flatten abdominal wall and cinche waistline; a stronger core and stable spine; Improved posture, balance, coordination and overall body awareness; Increased athletic performance in almost any sport – marathons, triathlons, horseback riding, golf, skiing etc.

The TRX suspension systen supports and challenge many yoga poses,  The TRX fusion Yoga postures will challenge your core, stretch your back and tone your arms.  It's multimuscle engagement might involve the elbows, shoulders, spine, hips, knees and ankles. This type of engagement, properly applied, can make everyday activities easier and reduce your risk of injury.  

What is TRX suspension training? 

TRX Suspension specializes in results oriented and body altering exercises.  If you’re tired of circuiting 20 different machines just to get in your total-body workout, try TRX suspension training—an all-in-one motion that combines strength and flexibility. Truth is, you don’t have to use stacks of weights to build strenght. Suspension training uses your own body weight from different angles to engage more muscle groups at the same time. With the TRX system, a simple squat, chest press or bicep curl becomes a core-stabilization exercise. “TRX trains for reactive stability, with TRX. “If your core isn’t tight, you’ll lose balance on the straps. Bracing your core before you move becomes second nature.
